Mr Men series goes digital

The complete Mr Men and Little Miss series are being made available in digital format worldwide for the first time, with brand licensing company Sanrio launching a range of e-books based on the classic stories for Kindle Fire and Kindle Fire HD, as well as Kindle reading apps for iPad and Android based devices.
Amazon has created dedicated Mr Men stores on amazon.co.uk and amazon.fr to promote the new consumer products programme being launched for Mr Men and Little Miss across Europe.
In a further phase of the project, Sanrio will partner with Egmont in the UK to extend their Mr Men and Little Miss content across all digital platforms, with a range of e-books, i-books and apps, to be available from early 2014.
Egmont Publishing Group m.d. David Riley said: "Egmont has been master publisher for Mr Men and Little Miss for over 20 years . . . We are extremely excited to be working with Sanrio to move the Mr Men publishing into the digital arena. It is only right that these much loved stories are adapted to be enjoyed digitally, allowing existing fans and new to experience the wonderful world of the Mr Men."
