HarperFiction has secured a new two-book deal with author Rosie Thomas, continuing their partnership until 2016.
Kate Elton, publisher at HarperFiction, acquired UK and Commonwealth rights from Jonathon Lloyd of Curtis Brown.
The deal will see two new books published by Thomas set in the period 1885-1944, following a family of stage illusionists and a Victorian music hall. Thomas’ career has spanned over 30 years and seen more than 20 bestselling novels published.
Elton said: “Rosie Thomas is an extraordinary writer. Over twenty wonderful novels she’s proven time and time again that her intelligent writing, emotional complexity and unforgettable storytelling resonate incredibly powerfully with readers worldwide. She’s one of the jewels of the HarperFiction list, and we’re all incredibly proud to continue our publishing relationship.”
The latest book by Rosie Thomas, The Kashmir Shawl, reached number two in the Sunday Times chart and number one on the Kindle chart.
