More Fforde for Century and Arrow
01.01.70 | Philip Jones
Century and Arrow have acquired the rights for four new novels by Katie Fforde. Kate Elton, publishing director at Arrow agreed the contract with Bill Hamilton and Sarah Molloy of AM Heath.
Elton said: "Katie's lightness of touch, warm sense of humour, and of course her knack for writing irresistible heroes have bought her a very large, extremely loyal readership, and I'm hugely looking forward to seeing the readership grow substantially further over the next few years."
The first book in the new contract will be published in 2011. Fforde said she was "utterly thrilled" with the new contract.
The Wedding Season, Fforde's fourteenth novel will be published in paperback by Arrow in March 2009 and Fforde's new hardback, Love Letters will be published by Century in June 2009. In 2007, Century and Arrow redesigned the jackets on Fforde's novels. The backlist will be published with new covers in 2009.
