Martin Palmer has been appointed group sales and marketing director for Constable and Robinson. He was previously group sales and marketing director at The History Press and also worked at HarperCollins as head of mass market sales.
Palmer will take up the new position from 3rd August and will report to Pete Duncan, managing director. Duncan said: "Martin brings great enthusiasm and industry awareness, and will play a key part in the forthcoming fiction offering, working closely with recently appointed paperback publisher James Gurbutt and existing marketing director Rob Nichols."
He will be responsible for broadening the accounts base for Constable and Robinson's different lists as well as developing new sales channels. expanding the publishers fiction list. Palmer will also help to expand the publishers fiction list, one of the company's aims.
