Maconie takes on Middle England

Ebury's Andrew Goodfellow has bought a book on Middle England by Stuart Maconie, author of Pies and Prejudice. Adventure on the High Teas: In Search of Middle England was acquired from Kate Haldane of Amanda Howard Associates in a two-book deal for a "very healthy" six-figure sum. Due next March, it will explore what Middle England really is, ranging from Vaughan Williams to "Midsomer Murders".
