Macmillan Dictionaries has launched a range of apps based on the content from Macmillan English Dictionary for Advanced Learners.
The 16 apps allow users access to definitions and pronunciations in British and American accents. There are also interactive vocabulary tests and users can organise their study with a personal word bank.
Publisher Stephen Bullon said: "These apps enable users to access dictionary information quickly and efficiently. The search is fast and intuitive, and there are some great extra features, such as the interactive vocab tests which enable people to see how their scores match up against other app users."
Macmillan Education has developed the apps in conjunction with D W Education. They are now available for the iPhone, iPod Touch and the iPad and prices start at £3.99.
