Lonely Planet brings photo travel books to iBookstore
01.01.70 | Graeme Neill
Lonely Planet has brought three of its photo-heavy travel books to Apple’s iBookstore for the first time from today.
The travel publisher is offering Lonely Planet's Best in Travel for free until 14th June with The Travel Book and Lonely Planet's Guide to Travel Photography on sale for £9.99.
Piers Pickard, Lonely Planet’s trade and reference publisher said: “They look fantastic particularly when viewed on an iPad and we’re sure travellers will love having Best in Travel and other titles available in a digital format.”
The partnership means customers can view the guides on an iPad, iPhone and iPod touch on Apple’s fixed-layout format, which retains the page layout, font and designs of the original print titles.
Lonely Planet already offers its Discover, City Guides and phrase books through the iBookstore.
