Lloyd to chair Digital Minds at LBF
01.02.13 | Charlotte Williams
Pan Macmillan director of digital and communications Sara Lloyd will chair the fifth London Book Fair Digital Minds Conference on 14th April 2013.
The conference, which focuses on digital trends, will also feature confirmed speakers Will Atkinson, Faber sales and marketing director, speaking on the year in digital so far; author Robert Levine, talking about the changing publishing ecosystems; John Bond, of publishing services outsource agency Whitefox, on self-publishing and the hybrid author; a panel talking about working start-ups, and Blaine Cooke, sociotechnologist and founder of online writing site Poetica, about the changing editorial role.
Lloyd said: "I'm delighted to have been asked to chair this year's Digital Minds conference, which will reflect an industry that has wholeheartedly embraced the digital publishing opportunity. As the e-book market in the UK and US matures and establishes itself significantly in international markets, we will discuss what this means for content publishing now. Our exciting programme will focus on helping publishers address and resolve the biggest challenges of 2013: discovery in a world of shrinking physical shelf space and the urgent need for direct reader engagement."
The conference takes place at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, central London.
