Kobo launches in Philippines

Kobo is to launch in the Philippines through a partnership with the country’s National Book Store chain.

The Canadian e-reading company will sell its Kobo Touch, Kobo Glo e-readers and Kobo Arc tablet exclusively through the stores and on the company’s website from 20th September.

Todd Humphrey, executive vice-president of business development for Kobo, said: “Digital reading is only just emerging in the Philippines. With Kobo and National Book Store, consumers can—for the first time ever—access a world of international content and look forward to their local authors and publishers making their work available in digital formats.

"We are committed to delivering a world-class e-reading experience to the Filipino market.”
