Kobo to launch in Brazil

Kobo is to launch in Brazil later this year.
Kobo vice-president Todd Humphrey has confirmed that the company is working with Brazilian publishers and closing a sales agreement with a retailer. According to website www.ebookfriendly.com, Kobo's chosen partner is either the Livraria Cultura bookshop chain or rival Livraria Saraiva.
“In over five years, 50% of books will be in digital format in Brazil,” Humphrey told visitors to the the Rakuten Super Expo in Sao Paulo, yesterday (25th April).
