Kate Burns re-joins Orchard
14.08.12 | Charlotte Williams
Orchard Books has appointed Kate Burns to the role of publisher for picture books, gift and novelties.
Burns moves from her position of picture book publisher for Nosy Crow, and will begin at Orchard Books in September 2012. She will report to publishing director Megan Larkin.
The appointment marks a return to Orchard for Burns, who last worked at the company in 2009.
Burns said: "I'm thrilled to be returning to Orchard Books to pick up the picture, gift and novelty books reins once more. I'm excited about rekindling established creative relationships, and building new relationships.
"I feel I am returning with a wealth of new experiences and knowledge about the children's book market, and I am looking forward greatly to working again within a hugely talented team on Orchard Book's rich and varied list."
Larkin said: "Kate Burns is one of the most talented publishers in London, with a creative energy and strategic vision that is perfect to develop our much-admired picture books, gift and novelties list."
