Judith Tebbutt, wife of former Faber finance director David Tebbutt, has been freed after six months held captive in Somalia.
Judith and David Tebbutt were seized in a raid in Kenya in September last year, during which David Tebbutt was killed.
The BBC reports Judith Tebbutt was flown to Nairobi after a ransom was paid by her relatives for her release.
She will be looked after by officials from the British embassy in Nairobi before being flown back to the UK.
Faber's Stephen Page said: "At Faber we are all overjoyed at the news of Judith's release. Our thoughts are with Judith and Ollie and the Tebbutt family. Naturally our thoughts today are also with our colleague and friend David and we will want to remember him properly when the time is right.
"For now this is a day of great relief after such a difficult time."
