Inpress is to hold a day-long digital conference in London on 28th June aimed at independent publishers.
The sales and marketing agency for independent publishers will host the event at Foyles on Charing Cross Road, which will include a bespoke workshop by specialist Jon Reed for publishers on marketing their print and e-books through social media sites and rich content.
Inpress m.d. Rachael Ogden said: "Inpress has always worked collaboratively with its publishers and that is the approach we are taking with digital: this event will be about knowledge sharing, discussion and planning our collective futures."
The event will include the results of a survey of Inpress customers' attitudes towards buying and reading e-books; an overview from Enders Analysis' Benedict Evans; and Foyles head of marketing Julia Kingsford on the importance of digital range to the market.
Ogden added "The fact that we are holding our first digital event in a leading independent bookstore is not an accident. Traditional retail outlets will continue to be our mainstay for the foreseeable future and I see the development of a range of e-books at Inpress as complementary to that revenue stream."
