Igloo Books and The Works are teaming up to produce a children’s book to raise money for charity Help The Heroes.
The book, called I Love You Daddy by Melanie Joyce with illustrations from Alison Edgson, is being produced by Igloo Books in a “read record and play” format, where parents can record either their own or their child’s voice, and play it back.
Priced £12.99, the book will be sold in in 300 The Works stores from 1st October, with £1 from every copy sold donated to the Help The Heroes charity. The joint venture is expected to raise £15,000.
John Styring c.e.o. at Igloo Books said: “Igloo is delighted to be collaborating with The Works on I Love You, Daddy. The book has been created to help preserve special moments between parents and children, and we hope many families enjoy it.”
Kevin Keaney, c.e.o of The Works, said the company was “exceptionally proud” to be supporting Help for Heroes. “Igloo has a produced a top quality book, with the fantastic Read, Record and Play capability, which we are thrilled to display at the very front of our stores,” he said.
