Icon expands editorial team
27.02.13 | Joshua Farrington
Independent publisher Icon Books has expanded its editorial team with two new members of staff.
Kate Hewson, formerly at Pan Macmillan, will join Icon as commissioning editor, while Nira Begum, currently at Sage, will take on the role of assistant editor.
Icon's editorial director Duncan Heath [pictured] said: "I'm delighted to say that, following a very successful 2012, we have two excellent new additions to our editorial team, both of whom come highly recommended. Kate Hewson, as commissioning editor, will be acquiring titles in our existing core areas as well as helping us expand into new ones, and Nira Begum as assistant editor will play a key role in maintaining the quality of our output."
Both will start next month, and will be contactable at kate.hewson@iconbooks.net and nira.begum@iconbooks.net.
