Iain Banks poetry collection coming February 2015

Little, Brown is to publish a first collection of poetry from the late Iain Banks – the author’s final works – next year.

The publisher will bring out the collection by Banks and Scottish writer Ken Macleod, edited by Macleod, in February 2015.

Banks died in June 2013 just two months after announcing he had terminal cancer.

In an interview with The Guardian shortly before his death, Banks said: “I'm going to see if I can get a book of poetry published before I kick the bucket.

“I've got about 50 I'm proud of.”

His final novel The Quarry was published on 20th June last year.

Last Sunday (16th February) marked what would have been the author's 60th birthday.
