iAds could be the latest Apple buzzword with a new report suggesting adverts could feature in iBooks.
CNet, quoting a story in the Wall Street Journal, does not give a timescale for the introduction of the adverts. However, it says the ads will be based on the account habits of the iPad owner, based on everything they have purchased, downloaded, read and played.
It reported: "With the amount of information Apple has on the purchasing habits of iTunes account holders, iAds represents the most dynamic way for publishers to reach an e-book audience that has (so far) been lucky to avoid the advertisement monsoon currently engulfing television, movies, and games."
