I B Tauris title wins English PEN prize

A book on the the political uprisings in the Middle East has won an English PEN Award for outstanding writing in translation.
Writing Revolution: The Voices from Tunis to Damascus by Layla Al-Zubaidi, Matthew Cassel and Nemonie Craven Roderick (I.B.Tauris) was selected for its role in contributing to inter-cultural understanding and the promotion of freedom of expression.
The book features writers from Syria, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia along with many other countries, with their accounts of the changes in the region translated from Arabic by Robin Moger and from French by Georgina Collins.
It is due to be published in the UK in May 2013.
