Hutson for Hammer novelisations

Hammer has acquired three books by Shaun Hutson, the writer of blood-soaked thrillers.

Hutson will be producing novelisations of three of Hammer Films' movies, beginning with "Twins of Evil", the 1971 Peter Cushing film, which will be published as an original paperback in October.

Editor Gillian Holmes bought world rights to the titles through Brie Burkeman at Burkeman & Clarke.

Holmes said: "If ever there was an author who embodies Hammer, it is Shaun Hutson; his flair for the dramatic, the macabre and the bloodthirsty are second to none, and he is a fabulous author to have on the list. I am thrilled to be working with him."

The following two titles in the deal are still to be confirmed, but are scheduled for March and October 2012.
