HoZ and AudioGO to co-publish on audio
25.01.13 | Lisa Campbell
Head of Zeus and AudioGO are to co-publish audiobook versions of titles in light of the audio market “set to grow very substantially over the coming years.”
The new publisher will use the partnership with upcoming major titles, which will be available across various platforms on CD and digital download.
The two companies will share the marketing for the venture.
Anthony Cheetham, chairman of Head of Zeus, said: “I’m really pleased about this. The audio market is set to grow very substantially over the coming years and we have as our partners the leading force in UK audio and one of the most creative teams in the industry.”
Jan Paterson, publishing director of AudioGO, said: “We have already published a number of books together, however this collaboration enables us, not only to bring out some great audiobooks, but to do so in a quick, easy fashion. We’re excited at the way the digital transformation of the audiobook market continues and AudioGO keeps on rising to the challenge.”
Lead titles for the audio collaboration include: What Have I Done? by Amanda Prowse (February), Breaking Point by C. J. Box (April), Long Live the King by Fay Weldon (April), The Abomination by Jonathan Holt (May), Traitor’s Gate by Michael Ridpath (June), Master of War by David Gilman (August) and 419 by Will Ferguson (September).
