Caroline Hogg is to join Pan Macmillan as senior commissioning editor in the New Year.
Hogg is moving from HarperCollins imprint Avon, where she was commissioning editor since 2011. While at Avon she published Trisha Ashley and Jacqui Rose.
Wayne Brookes, Pan Macmillan publishing director, said "From the moment I met Caroline I knew she was the right person for the job as well as being the perfect fit for Pan Macmillan.
"I’m incredibly impressed by her knowledge of the market, past successes and thirst for new business in an extremely competitive marketplace. Needless to say I’m very happy she decided to make the move to Pan Macmillan. We’re all counting the days until she starts in the New Year.”
Hogg said: “I've had some of the happiest and most rewarding experiences of my career at Avon. I will miss the great team and fantastic authors here very much. But the chance to join Pan Macmillan was irresistible and I can't wait to start work with their stellar list of authors and the very dynamic Pan Mac publishing team.”
Before working at Avon, Hogg was senior editor at Sphere, where she acquired Ali McNamara, author of From Notting Hill with Love… Actually and The Vintage Teacup Club by Vanessa Greene.
