Hodder buys debut thriller
14.01.11 | Ian Steadman
Hodder has bought world rights to a debut thriller set in Tokyo by journalist Su Quinn for a high five figure sum.
Editor Sue Fletcher bought rights to two books from Piers Blofeld at Sheil Land Associates. The book, Glass Geishas, is about an English woman who works in Tokyo’s hostess bars.
Fletcher said: “I love that this novel has the pace and tension of a thriller while being a genre-bending piece of commercial women’s fiction.”
Blofeld said: “I am absolutely delighted to have sold Glass Geishas to Sue Fletcher. There could be no better editor to be working with Su to help build what will I am sure be a long and successful career.”
Release dates for both books have yet to be confirmed.
