Hodder and Faber join IBW working party
21.01.09 | Graeme Neill
Hodder group sales director Lucy Hale and Faber sales and marketing director Will Atkinson have joined the Independent Booksellers Week’s working party.
The week-long series of events, which was organised by the Booksellers Association and launched last year, will be held in 2009 from the 15th-22nd June.
The BA is encouraging publishers to put forward authors for its Strictly Come Bookselling promotion, where writers work in independent bookstores. Meryl Halls, head of membership services at the Booksellers Association, said: “We were bowled over by the support that Independent Booksellers Week received last year from booksellers, publishers and authors alike. The inclusion of Lucy Hale and Will Atkinson on the IBW Working Party will help us to ensure a promotion that works for both parties.”
