Hodder acquires TOWIE's Lauren Goodger
14.12.12 | Charlotte Williams
Hodder & Stoughton has acquired a book by "The Only Way is Essex" reality star Lauren Goodger, entitled Secrets of an Essex Girl.
Commissioning editor Fenella Bates bought world rights in a deal with Max Clifford Associates, with plans to publish as a hardback and e-book at £16.99 on Valentine's Day 2013.
The title will "lift the lid" on Goodger's life, according to the publisher, covering her love life, beauty regime, and home life, as well as the glitzier side of her routine, attending showbiz events.
Bates said: "We're hugely excited about publishing Lauren's book. Lauren is a lovely, down-to-earth girl whose life has been turned upside down by the crazy world of reality TV.
"In Secrets of an Essex Girl she'll reveal for the first time what really happened in her relationship with Mark, her battle to maintain her self-esteem in the face of relentless public scrutiny of her figure, and the real story of her friendships with co-stars on the show. It's a rollercoaster read and I know TOWIE fans will love it."
