Gardners' consumer bookselling site Hive has the increased renumeration its independent bookseller partners get for e-book sales, as it lines up national press advertisements for the website.
Hive is now selling as well as redeeming National Book Token Gift Cards and since it began selling Google Books, it has increased the renumeration indie booksellers get on e-books from 3% to 5%.
It also has a partnership with the Guardian promoting four bookshops over a four-week period, starting from this weekend.
Starting with Tales on Moon Lane, then followed by Castle Hill Bookshop, Dulwich Books and University Bookshop in Plymouth, the newspaper is hosting a microsite for Hive where shop owners will participate in a web chat with customers to help find the books for Christmas as well as communicate their promotions.
