Headline has acquired four new novels from crime writer Ann Granger.
Two of the titles will be in her Cotswold village crime series, featuring detective duo Campbell and Carter; two will be in her Victorian crime series, including Scotland Yard's Inspector Ben Ross and his wife Lizzie. The first title in the new contract is lined up for July 2014.
British Commonwealth including Canada volume rights were acquired from Carole Blake of Blake Friedmann by Headline executive editor Clare Foss. Foss said: "Ann has been with Headline for over twenty years and we are absolutely delighted to continue our long and happy association with one of the nation’s best-loved crime writers."
Blake said: "There are few things more satisfying than a long and happy relationship between author and publisher. With Headline’s future plans for Ann’s books, I know we will see her novels reach even larger audiences."
Granger said: "I am very happy that my long association with Headline is to continue. Wonderful, too, to know that I’ll be working again with such an experienced and sympathetic editor as Clare. I’m really looking forward to the future!"
