The winners of the British Sports Book Awards have been announced. Run by the National Sporting club, it is the seventh outing for the annual awards.
Best autobiography was won by Paul Canoville for Black and Blue (Headline); best biography by Christopher Hilton for Regga: The Extraordinary Two Lives of Clay Regazzoni (Haynes); best football book went to Inverting the Pyramid by Jonathan Wilson (Orion); best cricket title to The Way It Was by Stephen Chalke (Fairfield); and best rugby book to Seeing Red - Twelve Tumultuous Years in Welsh Rugby by Alun Carter and Nick Bishop (Mainstream).
The best new writer award went to James Montague for When Friday Comes (Mainstream); while best illustrated title went to In The Frame - Great Racing Photographs by Ed Whitaker (Highdown Press).
