Headline to publish Texts From Dog
23.07.12 | Benedicte Page
Headline has acquired a new humour title, Texts from Dog, the latest book to come from microblogging site, Tumblr.
Texts sent between October Jones and his dog Cooper, the human and canine alter egos of animator Joe Butcher, have gained the duo a following of over 100,000 Tumblr fans and 40,000 followers on Twitter.
Deputy publishing director Sarah Emsley bought the book at auction from Curtis Brown’s Gordon Wise (acting on behalf of Kristyn Keene at ICM Books, NY). Emsley commented: "October and Cooper have been brightening up our days for months and we could not be more thrilled to be working them. Buy your copy this autumn to see if it will be BATDOG or CATCAT who reigns supreme this Christmas."
Texts from Dog will be published on 25th October.
