HCB to publish My Cat Pip brand

Hodder Children's Books has acquired the book rights for design and greetings brand, My Cat Pip, which features a black cat.

Picture book publisher for Hodder Children's Books Emma Layfield negotiated the deal for world publishing rights with Kirsty Guthrie at licensing agent KJG, with four books initially being published in March 2013.

The books, for children aged 3+, will include activity formats such as dress-up sticker books, lift-the-flap books and 'Where's Pip?' books.

Hodder Children's Books publishing director Anne McNeil said: "My Cat Pip is a terrific addition to our stable of picture books and growing licensing list. A unique character who will sit perfectly alongside Wibbly Pig and Kipper, and friends."
