Novelist Elizabeth Haynes is to join the judging panel for this year's Writer's Retreat Competition, run by Myriad Editions and West Dean College.
Now in its fourth year, the competition is designed to support writers, published and unpublished. The prize offers a week's retreat with full board at West Dean College, profile at the Brighton Festival and industry feedback.
Haynes, the author of Into the Darkest Corner, attended West Dean's crime writing course. She joins literary agent Kate Shaw; reviewer and event organiser Pam McIlroy; writer and convenor of creative writing courses at West Dean Greg Mosse; Myriad publisher and m.d. Candida Lacey; and Myriad fiction editor Vicky Blunden.
The shortlist will be announced in April, and the winner revealed in May at Brighton Festival.
