The Daily Mirror commssioned a team of writers to research every aspect of his life, from his early years at Motown, worldwide success in the 1980s and his troubled later years. The final pages will be written as Jackson is commemorated at a special service in Los Angeles today [Tuesday].
Jeremy Yates-Round, Haynes' sales and marketing director, said: "We at Haynes will be working around the clock with the Daily Mirror to ensure we produce a quality book that is available and on the shelves in the shortest possible time."
Eugene Duffy, the Daily Mirror's managing editor, said: "There have been a million words written on Michael Jackson's death but in the space newspapers provide the stories only scratch the surface of his life, Jackson Unveiled tells it all."
Five other publishers have announced biographies since Jackson died nearly two weeks ago. HarperCollins, John Blake, Headline, Carlton and Michael O'Mara are releasing new books with Carlton and Headline battling to put their respective titles on sale first.
