Studio Press is to release the first official Harry Potter Colouring Book on 5th November.
The book, released by the newest imprint of Bonnier Publishing's recently created Kings Road Publishing division, will contain artwork and designs inspired by the films, and has been developed under license with Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
Kings Road Publishing has English language rights to the book in the UK, Europe and the Commonwealth, excluding Canada, Australia and New Zealan, on an exclusive basis, plus the UK display market. The deal was brokered by Helen Wicks, creative director of Kings Road Publishing, with Alex Mitchell, international sales manager of Insight Editions.
The book contains intricate line drawings used in the making of the Harry Potter films, and includes "all of the fan-favourite scenes, creatures, and characters of the series, from Dobby and baby Norbert to Quidditch games and the unforgettable final battle between Harry and Lord Voldemort".
Wicks said: "The Harry Potter Colouring Book fits perfectly with Studio Press’s remit for quirky but commercial books for both gift or trade. Pre-orders for the book have been incredible since chatter began on forums around the globe and we’re confident that it will be a best-seller for Christmas."
The 96-page Harry Potter Colouring Book will retail at £9.99 and is published in paperback.
