Harris in Quercus move

Walker Books sales and trade marketing director Jane Harris is to join Quercus as executive director of group sales and marketing. Harris will take up her new appointment in January 2013.

Quercus chief executive Mark Smith praised Harris' "deep knowledge of all domestic, international, physical and digital sales channels and her long standing relationships with the key retail and distribution partners", saying: "Jane has a wealth of experience, both in adult and in children's publishing, and her arrival will complete the strengthening of the Board that we have been conducting over the last 18 months."

Harris, who was UK group sales director for HarperCollins before her six years at Walker Books, said it would be "a wonderful new challenge" to return to adult publishing while drawing on the extensive knowledge she had gained at Walker. She described Quercus as "one of the most entrepreneurial publishing houses to emerge in recent times."

The most important item to shop for before the wedding is the wedding dress and the rings. After that is accomplished, shop for items such as the groom's tuxedo, the flower girl and ring bearer, bridesmaids and groomsmen's outfits theboysshopping
