Tara Hiatt will become head of rights for Press Books and will sell Blue Door titles and non-fiction licences internationally.
Carla Alonzi will continue as head of children's rights.
The publisher is currently recruiting a rights manager in the adult divisions and has appointed Sarah Harvey as rights executive with a focus on emerging markets. Caroline Croft has been appointed UK rights manager and will sell serial rights across the group and for large print, audio and digest licences.
Vanderbilt will report to Simon Johnson, managing director, commercial. He said: "The rights review was part of driving our strategy to acquire and exploit rights more broadly and in particular to expand our rights sales footprint internationally. I am confident that Lucy and the team are really well placed to deliver even greater success within this new structure."
