Hachette produces digital picture books

Hachette Children's Books has begun making its picture books available as e-books from Amazon and Apple, priced at £3.99.

A launch list of 21 titles focuses on HCB's top selling authors and brands, including Giles Andreae, David Melling, John Hegley, Rainbow Magic and Beast Quest. Group rights and digital director Andy Sharp said: "The launch titles are some of the best from our list and their new digital format forms a fantastic showcase for our authors and brands."

Titles now available include David Melling's The Kiss That Missed and Good Knight Sleep; Stanley's Stick by John Hegley and Neal Layton; Beast Quest: The Complete Book of Beasts by Adam Blade; Rainbow Magic: The Complete Book of Fairies by Daisy Meadows; and the I Love My Daddy and I Love My Mummy titles by Giles Andreae and Emma Dodd.

Further titles are set to follow.
