Guardian and Sainsbury's team up in HCB campaign
04.05.12 | Benedicte Page
A campaign for The Power of Three by H L Dennis, the first book in the Secret Breakers series published this week by Hodder Children's Books, will see a link-up with the Guardian and Sainsbury's on Saturday (5th May).
The book's plot involves puzzle-solving, with the reader working alongside the characters to crack codes as part of an adventure that unfolds across the globe. Fifty thousand extracts will be distributed with tomorrow's issue of the Guardian in participating branches of Sainsbury's, with codes to crack and a competition to win family tickets to code-breaking centre Bletchley Park.
Susan Barry, group marketing director for Hachette Children's Books, called the campaign "a brilliant springboard" for the launch of the new series.
The campaign was developed by partnership marketing and sales promotion agency mostra.
