Granta signs Patrick Barkham
01.01.70 | Katie Allen
Granta Books has landed a new book from Patrick Barkham that will explore our lifelong relationship with the British coast.
Laura Barber, editorial director at Granta, acquired world rights for the as-yet-untitled book from Karoline Sutton at Curtis Brown.
It will be released in spring 2015, to coincide with the 50-year anniversary of the National Trust’s Neptune campaign to protect the coastline.
The book, described as part travelogue, and part portrait of a landscape, will look at England and Wales’ clifftops and beaches and look at how they have changed, and the role they play in our lives.
