Granta aquires three from Norman Rush
20.08.12 | Charlotte Williams
Granta Books has acquired a new novel by US author Norman Rush, Subtle Bodies, as well as two earlier Botswana-set novels.
Commissioning editor Max Porter bought UK and Commonwealth rights in Rush's new book, Subtle Bodies, as well as his earlier novels, both set in Botswana, Mating and Morals, in a deal with Tracy Bohan at the Wylie Agency.
Porter said: "Rush is an acclaimed master of American prose and Subtle Bodies is a lushly romantic and fiercely intelligent novel about friendship. It is a beautiful and wise book which will be deeply loved by readers. We are delighted to be welcoming Norman Rush to Granta, where he sits alongside many other outstanding American novelists."
Granta will publish Subtle Bodies in hardback in autumn 2013.
