The books for schools supplier Pandora Books has been acquired in a buy-out by m.d. Martin Green and private equity group Key Capital Partners (KCP).
The company was bought for an undisclosed sum from founders Nick Ison and family. Trevor Goul-Wheeker, previously with W H Smith and Hammicks, has been appointed non-executive chairman.
Green said the KCP investment would accelerate growth through Pandora's catalogue business and sales operations, as well as through a new specialist website. "We are also finalising plans for expanding our offices and warehouse to support the ongoing growth of the business," he added.
Goul-Wheeker said that Pandora's growth plans would "be complemented by selective acquisitions."
