Four more Kane for Cornerstone
08.06.12 | Charlotte Williams
Cornerstone has acquired four more books by historical novelist Ben Kane, in a six-figure deal with Charlie Viney at The Viney Agency.
Preface publishing director Rosie de Courcy signed the deal, with the first book to be published in 2014.
The first books in the new deal will be The Eagles of Rome and The Lost Eagles, a two-volume saga about Varus' campaign to conquer Germany during the reign of Tiberius. The second two will see the author write about the Black Prince's campaigns against France in the 14th century, with the first to be called Crecy.
de Courcy said: "It is almost impossible to exaggerate the thrill involved in putting a new author on the map. To have seen Ben Kane develop into a Top 3 bestselling author over the last four years is really the stuff of dreams and we eagerly look forward to the next stage."
