Forbidden Planet publicist turns author
29.03.12 | Katie Allen
Titan is to publish a novel by Danie Ware, publicist and event organiser for cult entertainment retailer Forbidden Planet.
Fiction editor Cath Trechman bought world rights to Ecko: Rising and a sequel from The Cooke Agency.
The publisher described the title as “a unique genre-bending fantasy-sci-fi epic” following anti-hero Ecko and his quest to save the world from extinction.
Trechman said: “Danie has created an extraordinary fantasy world, filled with rich, vibrant characters, and a story that is thrilling, compelling and wonderfully unpredictable. We at Titan feel very lucky to have found such a remarkable talent.”
Titan will publish in autumn 2012, launching the title at the UK science fiction convention Olympus Easter-Con in April.
