Forbes new IPG business development manager
27.09.11 | Charlotte Williams
The Independent Publishers Guild (IPG) has appointed Imogen Forbes, previously communications officer at the Publishers Licensing Society, to the newly created role of business development manager.
Forbes started work last week at the IPG, with her role involving the development and implementation of the IPG's marketing strategy, including increasing membership and bringing the guild closer to the publishing industry. She will also coordinate the IPG's PR and social networking media activities, and focus on increasing the guild's revenues via sponsorship, fundraising and other income streams.
IPG executive director Bridget Shine said: “We are delighted to be able to create this new role of business development manager and thrilled that Imogen is filling it. She is a very welcome and important addition to the IPG team, and we look forward to benefiting from her experience across publishing, communications and events.”
Forbes said: "I am very much looking forward to using my skills and experience to represent IPG members and build on the great work that IPG does for independent publishers."
