Folio launches illustration competition
22.09.11 | Katie Allen
Creative hub The House of Illustration and The Folio Society have launched a second Book Illustration Competition to illustrate Angela Carter’s The Bloody Chamber and Other Stories.
Following last year’s inaugural competition, this year’s invites entrants to create three illustrations, one each for Carter’s stories The Bloody Chamber, Puss-in-Boots and The Company of Wolves, plus a binding design for the book.
The deadline for entries is 10th January 2012. The winning entry will become a £4,000 commission to complete the illustrations for the book, which will be published in summer 2012 by The Folio Society. Five runners-up will each receive £500.
