First foreign deal for Route
01.01.70 | Katie Allen
Kein & Aber has signed German language rights in Rites by Sophie Coulombeau, the winner of the Next Great Novelist Award.
It is the first foreign rights deal struck by the publisher, independent Route. Route editor Ian Daley said: "We are thrilled with the deal, particularly Kein & Aber’s commitment to supporting Sophie’s blossoming career and introducing her work to the German speaking world."
Kein & Aber publisher Peter Haag said: "Sophie’s writing is funny and smart, fresh and precise, she is a relevant voice of today’s young generation and her wonderful book will certainly do very well in translation."
