Faber’s Louisa Joyner has won world rights to Consent, a “mesmerising” novel by journalist Leo Benedictus, after a “keenly contested” auction.
Joyner struck the deal with David Miller at RCW. Faber’s Lizzie Bishop is currently concluding an auction for the US rights.
Little has been revealed about the book, described as “dark and seductive, hugely compelling and a tiny bit horrifying”. Faber plans to publish in spring 2018.
