Faber e-books to trace story of British pop

Faber is releasing a series of six short e-books, called Faber Forty-Fives, which each draw content from a larger work on Faber's music list.

The e-books will be available from 7th June across all devices, each priced £1.99, and will cover the story of British pop music from psychedelia in the late sixties through electric folk, glam, seventies rock and punk, to post-punk in the late seventies and early eighties. The project was overseen by head of editorial text management Dave Watkins.

The books are: Faber Forty-Fives: 1966-1967: Syd Barrett and British Psychedelia by Rob Chapman; Fairport Convention and Electric Folk by Rob Young; 1969-1972: Michael Bracewell's Roxy Music and Art-Rock Glamour: 1973-1974: The New Music Journalism by Nick Kent; 1976, Sex Pistols and Punk by Jon Savage; and 1977-1982: UK Post-Punk by Simon Reynolds.
