Faber Children’s has acquired True Face by Siobham Corham, a book that encourages positive thinking and self-belief in teenage girls.
Leah Thaxton secured world rights for the book, which will be published in 2015, from Erszi Deak at The Hen and Ink Literary Agency.
“Miley Cyrus and Rihanna have been criticised for the confusing messages they give out to young fans, but it's not obvious who is a sensible role model for teen girls,” she said.
"Siobhan Curham’s practical, inspiring and quite brilliant guide will help young women of all ages navigate their way through an increasingly high pressure world.”
Topics covered in the book include bullying and silencing negative inner voices.
Curham is a life coach and author of several novels for teenagers, including Dear Dylan (Electric Monkey).
