Arrow's Kate Elton has won a "hotly-contested" auction for UK and Commonwealth rights in debut thriller Library of the Dead by Glenn Cooper, which alternates between the FBI hunt for a serial killer, and a group of eighth-century monks.
Elton bought the title and its sequel from Caspian Dennis at Abner Stein, acting on behalf of Steve Kasdin at the Sandra Dijkstra Literary Agency. She will publish in summer 2009.
