Egmont ups digital advertising
01.01.70 | Benedicte Page
Egmont Press has allocated an initial budget of £300,000 to step up its digital advertising in 2013, appointing independent agency Total Media to manage its media campaigns.
The agency will produce and manage all Egmont Press' cross-platform campaigns for all future book launches, with authors including Michael Grant and Lemony Snicket with new titles being released this year. The aim is to reach new young audiences, active online, as well as retaining target readers through more traditional advertising channels.
Total Media said it plans to use an "integrated media approach to reach wider audiences and enable greater creativity across all channels", including outdoor, digital display and press activities.
Mike Richards, marketing director at Egmont, said: "We're delighted to be working with Total Media, who will reinvigorate the digital marketing behind these books and bring them to life for a new, digitally-savvy audience."
