BBC Books has acquired a fully illustrated family cookbook tie-in to the third series of BBC1 TV series "Eat Well for Less".
Albert DePetrillo and Charlotte Macdonald at BBC Books acquired world rights from RDF Television.
On the show, presenters Gregg Wallace and Chris Bavin help families to spend less on their supermarket shop, working with them to shop more sensibly, use their leftovers and add more fruit and veg to their diets. The show is a "ratings winner" for the channel and a third series of six episodes will air this summer.
The book, written by Jo Scarratt-Jones and introduced by Gregg and Chris, will be out in paperback on 14th July, priced £14.99.
It features features 80 "simple, money-saving" recipes from the TV series, including "Eggless Beetroot and Chocolate Cake", "Build Your Own Pizzas", "Salmon Fishcakes", "Chicken and Green Bean Casserole" and "Sweet Potato Wedges". There will also be meal and family budgeting planners, store-cupboard guides and tips on how to use up leftovers and make the best use of your freezer.
